59 PM Eastern Description We are looking for an independent and conscientious addition to our teamThis job focuses on helping people in recovery from Mental Illness and/or Co-Occurring Substance DisorderLooking to hire an individual with emphasis on inspiring hope in individuals that recovery is not only possible, but probableUnder general supervision, this position is assigned responsibilities involving the identification and provision of services, and the tracking of program participantsResponsibilities also involve working closely with partner agencies to ensure participants are engaged and supported by services as orderedThe Program Support Specialist will work directly on implementation of evidence-based practices designed to reduce recidivism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned clients and assists with adherence to Treatment Court ConditionsCoordinates services for clients to assist in compliance of program standards Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in Treatment Court Relies on instructions and Court guidelines to perform the functions of the job Assess patient needs and abilities and assists in development of treatment plans to facilitate improved patient functioning/symptom resolution Participates with program planning with the multidisciplinary treatment team and other applicable team members Evaluates the ongoing biopsychosocial needs of patients, identifying needs and problems and determines suggested changes or additions to the treatment plan Obtains pertinent data using established interview techniques and assessment instruments to determine the risks and programmatic needs of clients Completes accurately and in a timely manner all necessary forms, case notes, and reports as required by program guidelines and contractual obligations Participate in a variety of regularly scheduled meetings Participate in ongoing training and skills development Perform other related duties assigned Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of substance abuse, mental health service, and community resources Interviewing and counseling techniques Related government laws and practices Practicing cultural competence with awareness and respect for diversity Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Collaborate with other multidisciplinary team members Able to motive offenders in a positive manner Effective time management and prioritize multiple tasks Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentExperience in Behavioral Health preferred CPR certification and First Aid Certification must be obtained and maintained (employer provided) IMedical Insurance The coverage begins for the employee the on the first of the month following the first full 30 days of full-time employment for employees and their eligible dependentsCost to the employee to participate in the plan varies by the coverage selection and the number of dependents; and may be subject to collective bargaining agreementThe employee may also elect to opt out of the County's medical insurance if proof of coverage is providedUnder this arrangement, the employee is provided with an annual opt out payment. VRetirement All full-time employees and part-time employees working more than 1,000 hours per year qualify for Luzerne County retirement benefits, in which employees must contribute 5% of their earnings, and may choose to add to an additional voluntary contribution, not to exceed an additional 10%.
