Position is responsible for organizing the distribution of laboratory reports to physician offices and other laboratory customers. Answer and route calls to laboratory sections. Receives calls for laboratory reports. Call and fax laboratory test results. Perform registration and test ordering in the laboratory and hospital outpatient area. Label and process laboratory specimens.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Six (6) months on-the-job training required. Finger and manual dexterity to handle small equipment; verbal ability to communicate with patients. Clerical accuracy in labeling specimens and completing requisitions for reference laboratories.
