Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and providing oversight to multiple Women's Mental Health programs to ensure the needs of women Veterans are met within VA. Serving as a primary point of contact for the national network of Women's Mental Health Champions, who serve as local points of contact at each VHA medical center. Overseeing orientation of new Champions and maintaining regular communication with this multidisciplinary community. Engaging in activities to facilitate sharing of local innovations and problem-solving. Coordinating Quarterly Women's Mental Health Champion Teleconferences. Contributing to the development of educational and outreach materials for Champions and moderating Champion SharePoint Discussion Forum. Coordinating the VA Women's Reproductive Mental Health Consultation program. Serving as the primary point of contact of this program and liaison between the field and the consultation team, and responsible for program evaluation data collection. Supporting the planning and implementation of the Women's Mental Health Mini-Residency. Serving as communications lead with participants, faculty, poster presenters and the Employee Education System. Facilitating and monitoring participants' development and implementation of Action Plans to advance gender-sensitive women's mental health services at their respective facilities. Coordinating the monthly Women's Mental Health Teleconference Series. Leading Teleconference Planning Committee, serving as primary liaison with SME faculty presenters, and partnering with the Employee Education System for the broadcast of these live interactive web-based training sessions. Assisting team in developing communications to the field and national stakeholders on policy implementation, current practices, and VHA's national initiatives related to women Veterans' mental health, often on very short notice. Maintaining ongoing contact with other VA staff involved in national education/training, outreach, program development and information dissemination efforts to facilitate coordinated initiatives. United States Citizenship. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education. A master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Persons hired or reassigned to social worker positions in the GS-0185 series in VHA must be licensed or certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master's degree level. Individuals assigned as Social Worker Program Coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level (LCSW or equivalent). (Copy of licensure/certification must be submitted) English Language Proficiency. Social workers must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with VA Policy. Grade Determinations:
GS-12 Social Worker (Program Coordinator). For all assignments above the full performance level, the higher-level duties must consist of significant scope, complexity (difficulty), and variety and be performed by the incumbent at least 25% of the time. Program coordinators at the GS-12 grade level are administratively responsible for a clinical program providing treatment to Veterans in a major specialty area, such as but not limited to:
Spinal Cord Injury, Homeless Continuum Veteran Program, Hospice and Palliative Care Program, Suicide Prevention Program, Veterans Justice Outreach, Caregiver Support Program and Community Nursing Home Program. The program coordinator may be the sole practitioner in this specialty at the facility and typically provide direct patient care services in the program area. The program coordinator oversees the daily operation of the program, develop policies and procedures for program operation, and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. They may be responsible for the program's budget, developing and monitoring staff compliance with practice, standards and guidelines on documentation, workload, data entry, ethical practice and service delivery. The program coordinator provides analysis and evaluation of clinical program data and computerized programs to identify system-wide trends and needs to enhance the quality of service. They may be responsible for, or contribute to, the program's resource and fiscal management, monitoring control points developing the annual budget, operating within that budget, and accounting for appropriated funds. The program coordinator is administratively responsible for the clinical programming and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. They provide leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned staff. They initiate and conduct a variety of program or service audits and complete designated clinical practice audits and reports, including productivity assessments. They oversee program operations and evaluations, identifying areas for improvement, gathering relevant data, assessing the data, developing and implementing ideas for improvement and evaluating efficacy of improvement efforts. Experience, Education and Licensure. Applicants must possess one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency in women's mental health. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Individuals assigned as social worker program coordinator must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:
1. Knowledge of, and ability to effectively communicate, existing policies and regulations. 2. Ability to provide information related to organizational as well as program level goals and objectives to a field of mental health clinicians. 3. Demonstrate ability to effectively coordinate multiple programs including planning, implementation, oversight and sustainability. 4. Knowledge of, and ability to utilize, resource materials as well as ability to develop new materials when needed. 5. Ability to relate to individuals at many different levels both within and external to the organization. 6. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a diverse group of professional staff. 7. Knowledge of internal web-based programming and ability to maintain and update web site and applications based on need to improve usability. Preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
